2. Security AP Zone This
area will be used for some useful application software. For example, the
application software and boot up program, etc. However, you can do any basic
functions, described in the ¡§Basic Functions¡¨ section, also in this area.
3. Security Data Zone This area can not be viewed without the application software. Once you do the ¡§Log In¡¨ action in the application software, you will switch view from ¡§Security AP Zone¡¨ to ¡§Security Data Zone¡¨. 3. Public Area Plus Security Area Make the device area into three partitions, Public Zone, Security AP Zone, and Security Data Zone. It has to use multiple LUN drivers to operate. The partition status was showed in the following figure. The partitions in LUN 0 will perform as described in the above item 2. The partition in LUN 1 will perform as described in the above item1. (This partition type is not available in this version.)
Public Zone Security Zone Change View Through Login & Logout LUN 0
This figure shows the detail operation of single LUN.
Security AP Zone Security Data Zone Public Zone Change View Through Login & Logout LUN 0 LUN 1
This figure shows the detail operation of multiple LUN.

Troubleshooting
Check
This First:
1. Is the MIB connected to the computer correctly?
2. Does the LED of the MIB work correctly?
F If the MIB function correctly, the LED should flush quickly about 5 sec once you plug into the USB port. Then, The LED will become flush slowly or turn off. If the LED flashes quickly and no change, please unplug and plug the MIB. If the condition remains the same, please send the MIB back to the distributor or the closest help center.
You will not able to check the USB driver status if there is a problem with any of the items above.
If the ¡§Add New Hardware Wizard¡¨ or ¡§Found New Hardware Wizard¡¨ appears while performing any of the steps above, click [Cancel] button in the wizard window, click the [Start][Program][UMSD][UMSD Driver Install] to reinstall the MIB driver.
When you inserted the MIB into the USB port of your computer, the following was popped up and ¡§Found New Hardware¡¨ message window showed up. Please wait for your computer to set up the device driver. It will take about 10 ~ 15 seconds. After that, click the [OK] button. If the message still shows up, please reinstall USB driver by clicking the [Start][Program][UMSD][UMSD Driver Install].
When you were doing the ¡§Resize¡¨, the following message is popped up. Please backup the data in the Public Zone. Then, use the ¡§Recover Disk¡¨ utility to recover the device. Otherwise, you can not do the ¡§Resize¡¨. You still can do the ¡§Basic Functions¡¨ with the device.
When you input the password in the ¡§Unlock Protection¡¨ window and the password is not correct, the above ¡§Password Validation Error¡¨ window will popped. If you key in the wrong password over three times, the software will disable the MIB. You have to unplug the device and plug the device again.
When you install the application software in Windows 2000 and the following window popped up, your computer already installed a wrong version of driver. Please go to the distributor or closest help center for help.
